Slot Missions in Hogwarts
Slot missions are an excellent opportunity to earn equipment, weapons and other items. They're not easy to complete.

Concealed Weapon Slot
The concealed weapon slot is a specific slot that lets you bring pistols in to an operation. Some players use this to help reach certain achievements, especially those going for Suit Only. Others prefer to have the additional pistol to make a gap closer. When using this slot, it's important to keep in mind that you'll have to click the corresponding pistol category button, such as the slot 2 alternative for machine guns, in order to select them. Major Expedition and Adept Rider are in use, making it much easier to use. This combo can also trigger damage from concealed Weapon every 10 seconds for as long as you have it slotted.
Slot for items being smuggled
The smuggled item slot is a good feature for allowing players to bring in weapons and tools, but it could benefit from a more streamlined opportunity. It's currently shaped like an a gun, which makes it hard to distinguish the smuggled item slot from other gear slots.
The smuggle slot can house an array of items, ranging from small concussion devices to explosives that are weapon-grade. These items are covertly stashed in a hidden location on the map and can be recovered at any moment. The items that are smuggled differ from Agency Pickups or Hidden Stashes that hide small objects in scenery and objects.
Mission planning is a feature available in the form of episodic missions. winning slots allows players to discover different starting points as well as smuggled items and gear slots prior to stepping into the map. As players progress through challenges and unlock new Mission Mastery levels, these options for planning expand. This lets players prepare the best task for every challenge.
Gear Slot
The gear slots will quickly get full early in the game, leading to the common message "Your Gear Slots Are Full". This message stops Max to select new equipment until the old ones are taken away or space is obtained. The solution to this problem is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which give players more inventory space in exchange for fulfilling challenge missions. However, since the majority of these challenges are scattered around the world and can be missed it could take a long time to acquire the maximum number of inventory slots in the game.
A player's five Gear Slots can be filled with up to five different gear types, which must be selected from the Gear Selection menu before a Break-In begins. Each gear item (except for the Pistol), takes up one Gear Slot, while a grouping of similar items (such as a grouping of Grenades) can only use one Gear Slot.
Agency Pickups
As you progress in Mission Mastery levels, you unlock various agency pickups on the map. These locations let you store items that do not fit in your concealed slot for weapons or gear, and retrieve them later.
These pickups are particularly useful if you have to pass through a frisk at the end of the course of your mission, or if you are carrying a weapon that might otherwise cause suspicion. You can only conceal one item at a pickup location.
This DLC also adds new security and asset protection contracts to the agency. Contact the receptionist at the agency and purchase snacks and armor. Then, head to the designated marker and spot a group at the time of arrival.
